Ending my “No more ‘Keep Calm’ riffs” moratorium because this t-shirt is basically my life in clothing form. 

I really love this shirt. I was actually at my therapist yesterday and we were discussing the stigma associated with mental illness and how people don’t understand it. 

Living with bipolar disorder II, sometimes I do get extreme anxiety. And I additionally have PTSD (which just makes this all the more exciting.) But nothing will quite piss a person with anxiety off when were freaking out quite like the words “Calm down.” 

I’m sorry. Da fuck did you just say to me? 

I believe there is a strong social stigma attached to mental illness because people don’t understand them (some refuse to, but for the most part it’s just a lack of comprehension.) 

I would be bold enough to wear this shirt, and if you have anxiety I hope you would be too. Because there is nothing wrong with you having anxiety, there is however, something wrong with society ostracizing and marginalizing you for it.
